Full-service packing adds S$200–S$600 to a residential move depending on home size. A 4-room HDB with full pack & move totals around S$700–S$1,100. Hybrid (fragile-only) is +S$80–S$300. What's included in packers and movers service?
Carton boxes, bubble wrap, stretch film, packing paper, wardrobe boxes, dish packs, labelling, on-site packing the day before or morning of move, transport, unloading, basic furniture reassembly. Unpacking is an optional add-on.
Is it cheaper to pack myself or hire packers?
Self-pack is 25–40% cheaper if you have 1–2 full days free. Hybrid saves 50–60% vs. full pack while protecting fragile items. Full-pack is worth it when both partners work, fragile inventory is high, or you're moving with kids/elderly. Most customers (60%) choose hybrid.
Do you supply packing boxes and materials?
Yes — multiple box sizes (small / medium / large / wardrobe / dish pack), bubble wrap, stretch film, packing paper, tape. Materials are billed at retail-close unit rates (not marked-up 2–3× like some movers). Unused materials are returned and not charged.
How many boxes do I need for a Singapore move?
15–25 for a studio. 30–45 for a 3-room HDB. 50–75 for a 4-room. 80–120 for a 5-room or landed. Add 1 wardrobe box per closet.
Can you pack and move on the same day?
For smaller homes (studio to 3-room HDB), yes. For 4-room and above, we usually pack the day before and move the next morning to avoid rushing fragile items. Same-day pack-and-move is available on request.
Are my items insured during packing and moving?
Yes — every Tip Top pack-and-move is covered by goods-in-transit insurance. Optional all-risk insurance available for high-value items (fine art, antiques, pianos, electronics).
Do you also offer unpacking service?
