Walk-up floors add S$15–S$25 per floor. Insist on a fixed written quote — hourly-only pricing can balloon on moving day.

How far in advance should I book?
Weekday slots: 3–5 days. Weekends or month-end (25th–31st): 2–3 weeks. Same-day is possible but typically 20–30% more.
Do I need to book the HDB service lift?
If your block has a separate service/cargo lift, yes — book through your town council 1–2 weeks ahead. Condos require a move-in form and a refundable deposit of S$200–S$1,000. See the HDB moving-in guide.
Are mover quotes GST-inclusive?
Singapore GST is 9% (as of 2024). GST-registered movers must display it on quotes; non-registered movers won't charge it. Confirm which applies — see IRAS GST.

How do I dispose of a mattress legally?
Three legal routes: (1) town council bulky waste — free, 1–2 weeks ahead, (2) private collector — same-day, S$50–S$90, (3) drop-off at a licensed waste collector. Illegal dumping is fineable up to S$50,000.
Can disposal happen on the same day as my move?
Yes — and it's cheaper. Bundling saves the second-trip charge (S$80–S$150). Mark items with a red sticker; we sort, dismantle, and haul on the same lorry trip.
