1. Acceptance of Terms
By requesting a quote, confirming a booking, making payment, handing over items, or using our moving, packing, storage or disposal services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
If any specific written quotation, invoice or service agreement conflicts with these terms, the written quotation or invoice will apply for that booking only.
2. Quotations & Pricing
- Quotes are based on the information provided by the customer, including item photos, volume, pickup and delivery addresses, lift access, stairs, distance, packing needs, storage needs and disposal items.
- Any quote may be revised if the actual job differs from the information given, including extra items, access restrictions, long pushing distance, waiting time, additional stops, stairs, oversized items or last-minute changes.
- Prices stated as “from” are starting rates and do not guarantee the final job price.
- Written confirmation by WhatsApp, email, invoice or form submission may be used as proof of booking details.
3. Booking, Payment & Cancellation
- A booking is confirmed only when Tip Top Movers accepts the job in writing and confirms the date, time, service scope and price.
- Payment terms, deposits, balance payment and accepted payment methods will be stated in the quote or invoice.
- Rescheduling is subject to manpower and truck availability.
- Cancellation or last-minute changes may incur charges if manpower, trucks, packing materials, storage space or disposal arrangements have already been reserved.
- Unpaid balances may delay delivery, retrieval, disposal, storage release or future bookings.
4. Customer Responsibilities
- The customer must provide accurate item lists, photos, access details and special handling requirements before the quote is confirmed.
- The customer is responsible for obtaining condo management approval, lift booking, parking/loading bay approval and any required access permission.
- The customer must remove or personally carry cash, jewellery, passports, identity documents, bank cards, medication, legal documents, laptops containing sensitive data and other valuables.
- Items must be legal to move, store or dispose of in Singapore.
- The customer must ensure someone authorised is present at pickup and delivery unless otherwise agreed.
5. Moving & Packing Services
- Moving services may include manpower, truck, loading, transport and unloading as stated in the quote.
- Packing services may include carton boxes, newsprint, bubble wrap or other materials where agreed.
- Furniture dismantling and reassembly are provided only where stated and may be limited by item condition, age, design, missing parts or previous damage.
- Owner-packed boxes are moved as received. We are not responsible for internal damage to owner-packed items unless there is clear external impact caused by our handling.
- Wall-mounted fixtures, built-in furniture, electrical works, plumbing works and specialist installation are excluded unless agreed in writing.
6. Storage Services
- Storage charges are based on the agreed storage size, load type, duration and service package.
- Storage starts from the date items are collected or accepted into storage.
- Monthly storage fees must be paid on time. Late payment may delay item release or redelivery.
- The customer must give reasonable advance notice for retrieval or redelivery so manpower and transport can be arranged.
- Stored items must not include food, perishables, plants, animals, flammable items, hazardous items, illegal goods, cash, jewellery or confidential documents.
- If storage fees remain unpaid after repeated reminders, Tip Top Movers may exercise any lawful rights available to recover outstanding charges.
7. Disposal Services
- The customer confirms that they own, control or are authorised to dispose of all items handed over for disposal.
- Once an item has been collected for disposal, it may not be recoverable.
- Disposal pricing depends on item size, quantity, manpower, access, truck space and disposal fees.
- We may refuse hazardous waste, chemicals, illegal items, medical waste, food waste, liquids, batteries in unsafe condition or items requiring specialist disposal.
- The customer is responsible for ensuring disposal does not breach building, condo, landlord, HDB, town council or management rules.
8. Restricted & Prohibited Items
Unless specifically agreed in writing, we do not move, store or dispose of:
- Cash, jewellery, watches, collectibles, passports, legal documents and irreplaceable personal items.
- Perishable food, plants, animals, human remains or biological materials.
- Flammable, explosive, corrosive, toxic, hazardous, illegal or regulated items.
- Open liquids, leaking containers, compressed gas, unsafe batteries or items that may damage other goods.
9. Damage, Loss & Claims
- The customer should inspect items as soon as reasonably possible after delivery, retrieval or completion of service.
- Visible damage should be reported before our team leaves where practical. Other claims should be reported in writing with photos within 3 calendar days.
- We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, weak furniture structure, normal wear and tear, poor item condition, manufacturer defects or damage caused by owner packing.
- Any repair, replacement or compensation is subject to investigation and proof of damage caused by our negligence.
- To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, our liability is limited to the reasonable repair cost, depreciated replacement value, or the amount paid for the affected service, whichever is lower.
- Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including fraud, wilful misconduct or any non-excludable rights under Singapore law.
10. Delay, Access Issues & Force Majeure
- We will try to meet agreed timing, but delays may happen due to traffic, weather, building restrictions, lift breakdown, access issues, road closures, accidents or events outside our control.
- Waiting time, failed access, rejected building entry, unavailable lift booking or customer delay may result in extra charges.
- We are not liable for losses caused by events beyond reasonable control.
11. Personal Data
We may collect and use personal data such as name, phone number, email, addresses, item photos and booking details to prepare quotes, provide services, arrange payment, communicate with customers and keep service records.
Personal data will be handled in accordance with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act where applicable.
12. Disputes & Governing Law
- These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
- Both parties should first try to resolve disputes in good faith through written communication.
- If a dispute cannot be resolved, either party may pursue the appropriate legal route in Singapore, including the Small Claims Tribunals where applicable.
- No person who is not a party to the booking has any right to enforce these terms unless required by law.
13. Changes to These Terms
Tip Top Movers may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version published on our website at the time of booking will apply unless otherwise agreed in writing.
