What "affordable" really means in Singapore
The cheapest hourly rate in a Singapore mover ad is almost never the cheapest final bill. Three patterns explain the gap between the price you see and the price you pay:
1. The bait hourly rate
“From S$60/hour” usually means 2 movers and excludes stairs, packing materials, dismantling and travel time. The real bill lands at S$400–S$700 for an HDB 3-room.
2. The day-of surcharge
